Pregnancy Care

Routine prenatal visits (30-60 mins each) allow time for questions and family involvement. We provide a proactive approach including: nutritional counseling, exercise, close assessments of your pregnancy developments, prenatal laboratory work and screenings, and access to educational information and classes. We offer medical referrals and provide vitamins and other related products.

Labor & Birth Care

We offer assessments and guidance throughout labor and birth, while offering appropriate medical equipment, medications, and treatments when necessary. We give gentle vital checks that do not interfere with desired labor positions, and we encourage mobility, along with the freedom to eat and drink as desired. A carefully guided delivery to prevent tears, the option for waterbirth and your desired position, as well as the ability to ‘catch your baby’ will be offered to you. We can refer and transfer care according to Wisconsin State Regulations.

Newborn Care

We use routine delayed cord clamping and skin-to-skin contact, and offer a complete newborn exam with weight and measurements, as well as Vitamin K injection and eye prophylaxis. We’ll help establish and ensure successful breastfeeding, and file the birth certificate with the WI State Vital Records. We provide a Newborn Hearing Screening, Newborn Metabolic Screening, and a gentle approach that does not interfere with initial bonding.

Postpartum Care

Close attention and monitoring during the immediate postpartum period are important. We offer plenty of room for families to room-in with each other, a ‘tuck-in’ doula service option, and 24-hour on-call availability for questions and concerns. You will receive unlimited breastfeeding support, postpartum visits at 24-32 hours, 3 days, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks, including home visits when needed.
